Apple Announces Its First Foldable Smartphone, the iPhone Duo
Apple has officially revealed the iPhone Duo, its long-awaited foldable smartphone featuring a passport-like compact size when closed and a large display when opened.

In a milestone announcement for the tech industry, Apple has unveiled its long-anticipated foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo. The device arrives more than seven years after Samsung introduced the very first Galaxy Fold, marking Apple's official entry into the foldable hardware segment.
According to Apple, the Duo is similar in size to a passport when closed, featuring a 5.4-inch display. However, when unfolded, it reveals a spacious 7.6-inch screen, providing users with a versatile device that bridges the gap between a smartphone and a tablet.
In terms of design and proportions, Apple's approach closely mirrors Samsung's recent Galaxy Z Fold 8. This form factor aims to deliver maximum screen estate while maintaining a pocket-friendly and portable profile for everyday use.
For the global tech community, including markets in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Apple's entry into the foldable space is expected to dramatically increase competition and accelerate the adoption of foldable technology across the industry.
