Apple is bringing Apple Pencil support to the iPhone Duo much sooner than expected, arriving next week alongside the iOS 27.2 update.
As initial reviews for the iPhone Duo begin to roll out, a surprising and welcome piece of news has emerged regarding Apple's latest hardware lineup. Apple Pencil support, which many thought would take longer to arrive, is coming much sooner than expected.
According to reports from 9to5Mac, the highly anticipated stylus support for the iPhone Duo will officially launch next week as part of the upcoming iOS 27.2 software update. This addition bridges a significant gap between iPhone and iPad capabilities.
Traditionally, Apple has maintained strict boundaries between its device categories, but bringing Apple Pencil functionality to the iPhone Duo signals a more flexible approach to productivity. Users will soon be able to take notes, sketch, and edit content with precision directly on their phones.
For tech enthusiasts and mobile professionals looking for maximum versatility, this update transforms how the device can be used in daily workflows. Document markup and creative tasks on a smartphone screen are about to become much more seamless.
