Beeline expands 5G network coverage to 13 additional cities

Beeline has officially expanded its 5G network footprint to include 13 additional cities across Russia. Residents in Kaliningrad, Zelenogradsk, Kursk, Tula, Kostroma, Stavropol, Nalchik, Kazan, Ufa, Novosibirsk, Barnaul, Gorno-Altaysk, and Vladivostok can now access the next-generation communication standard.

  • 5G service expanded to 13 new cities.
  • Data transmission speeds increased by 25–30%.
  • Partnership with Samsung to enable 5G on Galaxy S, A, and F series.
  • 5G user base grew by 24% since the technology's launch.

Network Infrastructure Upgrades The expansion was made possible by a significant upgrade to the core network, which allowed the operator to leverage existing hardware and available frequencies for 5G operations. This technological shift enables smarter allocation of network resources based on real-time traffic, which is particularly beneficial for high-density urban areas where network congestion is common.

Device Compatibility and Growth To support the rollout, Beeline is increasing the number of compatible devices in the market. Since September 2026, the company has partnered with Samsung to push software updates to Galaxy S, A, and F series smartphones, effectively enabling 5G support. CEO Sergey Anokhin noted that the number of 5G users on the network has increased by 24% since the launch, reflecting a steady adoption rate.

Looking Ahead Beyond raw speed, Beeline is focusing on the future of voice quality. The company’s long-term development strategy includes the deployment of VoLTE and VoWiFi technologies to ensure that voice calls remain clear and reliable even as data demand continues to surge across the network.
