The visual update applies a noticeable blur effect over the input bar.
Once animations complete, the pill-shaped bar displays translucent perimeters instead of a solid shape. Users who cannot see the new design immediately are advised to force stop the Google app from their system settings.
Advanced File Generation and Editing
One of the standout features of this update is the ability to generate, preview, and edit files right inside chats. Gemini can now create text documents, presentations, or spreadsheets based on specific user prompts.
Users can generate slide outlines, preview the layout directly in the chat, and adjust the tone or structure before opening the presentation in Google Slides or downloading it as a PPTX or PDF file.
Sheets, Docs, and PDF Support
The app allows users to build structured tables and data models from a prompt and open them directly in Google Sheets. Quick drafting of PDFs, Google Docs, LaTeX, Markdown, or TXT files is also fully supported.
PDF preview and editing are available on both the web and mobile apps, while Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and code editing remain web-only features. File creation is now live globally in all supported languages.
