Honor 700, 700 Pro and 700S Announced with Rear Display

Honor has officially unveiled the design and core specifications of its brand new smartphone lineup, consisting of the base Honor 700, the advanced Honor 700 Pro, and the balanced Honor 700S. The manufacturer describes these new releases as a complete overhaul of its numbered series, focusing heavily on performance and everyday convenience.

  • Announced models: Honor 700, 700 Pro, and 700S with thin bezels.
  • Key feature: A secondary square screen built into the camera module.
  • Memory variants: Up to 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage.
  • Pre-orders are open in China with a 1-year replacement warranty.

Design and Main Unique Feature

The standout feature across the entire lineup is an additional square display located on the back panel, seamlessly integrated directly into the camera module. This auxiliary screen can display clock widgets, various animations, and serve as a viewfinder when taking selfies using the primary high-resolution main camera.

In addition to the unusual rear screen, the smartphones boast very thin bezels surrounding the main display. The manufacturer offers all three devices in four stylish colorways: Cold White, Clear Sky, Blue Tone, and Pink Mist, giving users plenty of aesthetic options to suit their personal preferences.

Memory Configurations and Storage

The new Honor series provides flexible memory options tailored to different user needs. The standard Honor 700 will be offered with either 12GB or 16GB of RAM alongside 256GB or 512GB of internal storage space.

For the Honor 700 Pro, users can choose from configurations including 12/256GB, 12/512GB, and a top-tier 16/512GB version. Meanwhile, the Honor 700S comes with 12GB of RAM paired with either 256GB or 512GB of storage, ensuring ample space for all media and apps.

Pre-orders and Warranty Conditions

Pre-orders for the new smartphones are already being accepted through Honor's official channels and major Chinese e-commerce platforms. However, the final official retail prices have not yet been disclosed by the company.

As an incentive, early buyers are promised a one-year warranty featuring device replacement instead of standard repairs in case of defects. Furthermore, a one-year insurance policy covering both the front and rear displays is included, highlighting the brand's confidence in the build quality.

What This Means for the Market

The introduction of the Honor 700 series highlights the growing trend of integrating functional secondary displays into mainstream smartphones. Although global availability and final pricing remain unannounced, these devices showcase innovative design choices in the competitive mid-range segment.
