Meta is launching a dedicated AI app for Mac computers
Meta has announced a new Mac app for its Meta AI chatbot, featuring screen sharing and dictation capabilities.
Meta is rolling out a brand-new application specifically designed for Mac computers, bringing its Meta AI chatbot directly to desktop users. The company made the announcement on Wednesday, highlighting several key features meant to boost daily productivity.
One of the standout capabilities of the new Mac app is the ability to share your active window with the AI chatbot. Based on what is currently displayed on your screen, Meta AI can provide contextual suggestions, answer complex questions, or assist in creating various types of content.
In addition to screen context awareness, Meta AI on macOS fully supports voice dictation across all applications. This allows users to seamlessly dictate text and interact with different programs using their voice.
As tech giants continue to integrate advanced AI tools into native desktop environments, this development reflects the broader industry shift toward making artificial intelligence an essential, deeply embedded layer of our daily computing workflows.
