Apple Watch Ultra 4 offers up to 50 hours of battery life and satellite SOS
The Apple Watch Ultra 4 brings a 49mm titanium case, the same new health sensors as the Series 12, and a $799 starting price.
Apple has introduced the fourth generation of its Ultra line for extreme sports and outdoor use: the Apple Watch Ultra 4. It keeps the same 49mm grade 5 titanium case size as Ultra 3, now offered in Natural and Black Titanium finishes.
Ultra 4 gains the same redesigned health-sensing system as the Apple Watch Series 12 — background heart-rate readings every 5 seconds and HRV readings every 5 minutes — showing Apple pushed health tracking forward across both new watch models.
The Ultra line's main edge remains durability and endurance. The new model delivers up to 50 hours of battery life on a single charge, especially valuable for long trips and sporting events. It also keeps Emergency SOS via satellite, which can be critical in areas without cellular coverage.
Connectivity includes 5G and Bluetooth 5.3. Like the Series 12, it carries a full sensor suite built to hold up reliably in extreme conditions.
The Apple Watch Ultra 4 starts at $799 and goes on sale September 18 — $400 more than the Series 12, in exchange for added ruggedness and satellite connectivity.
