New Subscription Names and Terms Anthropic has simplified its lineup of premium AI subscription plans. The tier formerly known as Max 5x is now officially called Max. Meanwhile, the advanced Max 20x tier has been renamed to Ultra. Pricing remains the same, with users continuing to pay $100 per month for the Max tier and $200 per month for the Ultra tier.

The most significant update is the removal of the five-hour model usage limits for Ultra subscribers with verified accounts. Most active subscribers have already been transitioned to these updated terms. However, overall weekly limits remain in place across all subscription plans without exception.

Security and New User Verification For new users joining the platform, temporary usage restrictions remain in place for now. Anthropic explains that this measure is necessary to protect the platform against abuse and heavy server loads. Once the account verification process is complete, the user will receive an email notification confirming that the five-hour limit has been lifted.
