Apple captured half of global smartphone revenue in Q3
Counterpoint Research report reveals Apple hit its highest-ever Q3 revenue share, capturing half of the global smartphone market earnings.

According to a new report from Counterpoint Research, Apple has recorded its highest-ever global smartphone revenue share for a third calendar quarter. The company successfully captured half of the entire industry's revenue during the period, cementing its dominant financial position.
- Apple captured 50% of the global smartphone market revenue in Q3.
- The average selling price (ASP) for an iPhone reached an all-time high of $1,031.
- Samsung ranked second in revenue with 19%, followed by Xiaomi, OPPO, and vivo.
- Shipment share gap between Samsung and Apple narrowed to 22% and 21% respectively.
iPhone ASP Growth and Pricing Power
Counterpoint's Research Director Tarun Pathak noted that the iPhone 18 Pro series contributed significantly to Apple's average selling price growth, which jumped 19% year-over-year to $1,031. Despite launching late in the quarter, higher launch prices and increased rates on older models helped drive strong revenue growth. Apple demonstrated pricing power by absorbing rising memory costs without denting demand.
