XPeng robotics raises $900M at $6.3B valuation for IRON robot push
Chinese EV maker XPeng's robotics division has secured massive funding to accelerate the mass production of its IRON humanoid robot by late 2026.

XPeng's robotics business has successfully raised over $900 million in a new funding round, achieving a post-money valuation of more than $6.3 billion. The Chinese EV maker announced the milestone, marking a major step forward for its autonomous systems division.
According to the company, this investment round stands as the largest single-round private financing in the history of China’s embodied AI industry. It highlights the growing confidence of venture capitalists and institutional investors in practical humanoid robotics.
The newly acquired capital will be primarily utilized to push XPeng’s IRON humanoid robot into full mass production by the end of 2026. This timeline is strategically designed to keep the automaker ahead of competitors, specifically outpacing Tesla’s stalling Optimus program.
As traditional automotive manufacturers pivot toward advanced robotics and artificial intelligence, the industry is witnessing a massive transformation. Investments of this scale signal that smart humanoid systems are rapidly moving from conceptual research to commercial reality.
