Technical Aspects and Scale

Built using the Unreal Engine 5 engine, the project aims to deliver top-tier graphics and an immersive sci-fi atmosphere. The developers promise a hard sci-fi experience with massive maps—three to four times larger than those in Escape from Tarkov—as well as drivable vehicles.

Community reactions to the initial reveal have been largely positive regarding the graphics and atmosphere, though some viewers criticized the unnatural dialogue in the trailer and braced for a lengthy testing phase.

Future Outlook and Alpha Access

Nikita Buyanov officially announced that the closed alpha test for Fragmentary Order will begin before the end of 2026. Access to this and preceding testing phases ahead of the open beta will be granted to Prime Batch participants.

The game is currently developed for PC platforms and does not have a confirmed release date yet, remaining in active production.
