Tesla Model 3 gets range and performance boost, plus a new 16-inch screen in US
Tesla is updating its Model 3 lineup in the US, Puerto Rico, and Mexico with a larger screen and better performance.

Tesla has announced a significant update for the Model 3 lineup across North America, introducing a larger 16-inch center touchscreen as standard for all units sold in the US, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. This rollout comes just a day after the company launched the exact same interior upgrade for customers in China.
In addition to the display, the Model 3 Performance variant now features a black headliner, an increased range of 316 miles, and a powerful 528 horsepower. Meanwhile, the Premium AWD model has improved its acceleration, reaching 0 to 60 mph in a swift 3.8 seconds. However, the company has yet to confirm whether US-bound Model 3 units will receive vehicle-to-load capabilities anytime soon.
These continuous hardware enhancements highlight Tesla's strategy to keep its vehicles competitive in a rapidly evolving global EV market. By upgrading both the digital cockpit experience and powertrain metrics, the automaker aims to deliver higher value to modern drivers.
For tech enthusiasts and automotive followers in regions like Central Asia and beyond, keeping track of these hardware shifts provides valuable insight into the global maturation of electric vehicles. As features from premium markets eventually trickle down, they shape consumer expectations worldwide.
