RedMagic 12 Pro Global Version Specs, Features and Price
RedMagic has officially revealed the global version of the RedMagic 12 Pro gaming smartphone with an 8400 mAh battery and Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6.

Just three weeks after its initial premiere in China, RedMagic has officially unveiled the global version of the RedMagic 12 Pro gaming smartphone. Following the announcement, live photos of the device and its retail box have emerged, showcasing the included protective case and charging cable. The international launch has drawn significant interest due to its powerful specifications, although the global variant features slight adjustments compared to the Chinese model.
- The international model features an 8,400 mAh battery with support for wireless and bypass charging.
- Charging speed is capped at 80W instead of 120W, and the touch trigger sampling rate is reduced from 700 Hz to 520 Hz.
- The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset running RedMagic OS 12 based on Android 17.
- Prices in Europe and the US have increased by 200 euros across all variants, while the 24 GB RAM version has been dropped from the lineup.
Performance and Hardware Architecture
At the core of the global smartphone is the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 single-chip system. To ensure top-tier gaming performance, the chipset is paired with a dedicated RedCore R5 gaming chip and a G1 display controller. The device's body thickness has been reduced to 8.5 millimeters compared to the 8.9 millimeters of its predecessor, providing a more comfortable grip during extended gaming sessions.
To maintain optimal temperatures under heavy loads, the phone uses the AquaCore Cooling System 3.0. This setup features a liquid cooling circuit, a built-in fan spinning at up to 25,500 RPM, and an enlarged vapor chamber. This comprehensive thermal management effectively prevents thermal throttling during intense mobile gaming.

The device is equipped with a completely uninterrupted 6.85-inch BOE OLED display with no cutouts or holes. The screen boasts a 1.5K resolution, an ultra-smooth 185 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 5,000 nits. The 16-megapixel front-facing camera is cleverly hidden beneath the display panel to deliver a truly immersive viewing experience.
On the rear panel, the device features dual 50-megapixel cameras consisting of a main sensor and an ultra-wide sensor. Users can choose between two distinct color finishes: Nightfreeze, featuring a transparent black glass back, and Subzero, offering a sleek silver aesthetic.
Pricing and Global Availability
The pricing structure for the international version has seen an increase. In the United States, prices start at $949 for the 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage variant. The 16 GB RAM with 512 GB storage option costs $1,049, while the top-tier 1 TB model is priced at $1,199.
In the European market, the exact same configurations retail for 899, 999, and 1,199 euros respectively. Consequently, the new lineup is roughly 200 euros more expensive than the RedMagic 11 Pro across all matching variants, and the previously offered 24 GB RAM option is absent from the global catalog.
