Roblox: over 80% of top games created with artificial intelligence

Over 80% of the 100 most popular games on the Roblox platform were created using artificial intelligence. Since the launch of the dedicated Build service, users have presented more than 70,000 games created with AI assistance.

  • Over 80% of top 100 games on the platform are AI-assisted.
  • The Build tool launched in late July 2026 in alpha mode across four countries.
  • Over 500,000 people used the tool within just three months.
  • The number of AI-generated games surpassed 70,000.

Launch and Growth of the Build Service Tool Build was launched in late July 2026, with its alpha version rolling out in New Zealand, Singapore, Serbia, and Thailand. In just three months, over 500,000 people used the service. Among the platform's leading developers, the usage of Roblox AI tools has grown more than threefold since the second quarter of the year.

Features and Capabilities The implementation of AI-powered game creation tools, including code automation and asset generation, has led to an explosive growth in content volume, Roblox noted in a letter to shareholders. Build allows users to create games and content using AI, primarily focusing on mobile devices. Access is open to users aged 9 and older with age verification, while games created using the tool are accessible to users aged 16 and older. According to the company, a Universal Player tool will soon appear in Build, allowing players to transfer existing games from consoles, PCs, or mobile devices into the Roblox environment.

BLARM Animation System In September, researchers from the Roblox team, the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and the Technological Educational Institute of Crete introduced BLARM, a system that transfers motion from video onto a static 3D model. This eliminates the need for a pre-prepared skeleton or rigged skinning weights, as the machine learning model automatically determines which parts of the object should move.

What This Means for Developers The integration of AI tools lowers the barrier to entry for game development, significantly accelerating content production. For creators, this opens up new opportunities to automate routine tasks such as coding and asset generation, reshaping the future of virtual platforms.
