Mercedes-Benz to Integrate Wayve AI Driver in Cars Within Two Years
Mercedes-Benz has signed a definitive production agreement with Wayve to embed its AI Driver system in future vehicles, with integration slated to start within the next two years.

Mercedes-Benz and British self-driving startup Wayve have signed a definitive production agreement to integrate Wayve’s "AI Driver" technology into upcoming Mercedes vehicles, with the rollout expected to begin within the next two years.
This marks the first deployment of Wayve’s end-to-end driving AI in a premium‑segment production car; previously the technology had been limited to testbeds and prototype vehicles.
The agreement deepens an existing relationship: Mercedes‑Benz previously participated in Wayve’s $1.5 billion Series D funding round earlier this year.
Wayve’s AI Driver relies on an end‑to‑end learning approach, directly translating sensor inputs into driving commands, which can simplify autonomous‑driving stacks and improve the system’s adaptability to diverse road conditions.
For the technology landscape in Uzbekistan and Central Asia, such partnerships signal accelerating adoption of advanced automotive AI, offering local engineers and innovators opportunities to study, adapt, and potentially apply similar solutions in regional mobility projects.
